Prediabetes is a serious condition that can lead to type 2 diabetes. If you have prediabetes, it is important to see your doctor for treatment. By following your doctor's recommendations, you can lower your risk of developing type 2 diabetes and its serious complications.

  • Increased thirst
  • Frequent urination
  • Increased hunger
  • Fatigue
  • Blurred vision
  • Slow-healing sores
  • Numbness or tingling in the hands or feet

 

Here are some tips for managing prediabetes:

  • See your doctor regularly. Your doctor can monitor your blood sugar levels and make sure that you are on the right treatment plan.
  • Make lifestyle changes. Losing weight, eating a healthy diet, and exercising regularly are the most important things you can do to manage prediabetes.
  • Get support. There are many resources available to help you manage prediabetes. Talk to your doctor about joining a support group or finding a diabetes educator.
